Most of them have been absolutely nothing to heal in my case, but the last two years I totally get what you're saying. Two failed constilation lobe piercing failed, didn't want to heal for 1,5 years. They were SO cute, I didn't want to give them up but it literally hurt if it was windy outside... constant pain day and night (not infected tho, strangely, just irritated) and only one of my fourth lobe piercings wanted to heal so I have uneven number now but oh well... Currently healing a double conch piercing on one ear. Personally I feel like I can tell within the first month or two if it will heal properly or it will be months and months of feeling like you have a constant "ear infection" (those hurts!). I have peronally never managed to heal one if it started acting up. I know people do, I just can't I guess.

if u get one of those travel pillow things for Ur neck and just lay on it with Ur ears in the middle so nothing touchs it it will change Ur life I sleep like that almost every night

All my piercings stopped hurting, at max, a week after I got it pierced (I am bragging) Still treated it like it was healing for the full year because I’m a responsible parent

Honestly, I think the only reason why mine healed is because I sleep on them and I only use 0.9 saline solution rarely other than that they just healed by themselves
