@natestav: Eddie Lampert bought Sears, spun off the real estate, charged the retailer rent, and 90,000 retirees lost their pensions. He didn’t. Medline is the current version. Blackstone, Carlyle and Hellman & Friedman took it private with debt in 2021, IPO’d it last December into mutual funds, pension funds and 401ks, then sold more shares. Then came FDA warnings over microbial contamination and a securities fraud investigation. Go look at what’s in your 401k. A third of this year’s IPOs were PE looking for an exit. I’m not a financial advisor and I’m not telling you to buy anything. Follow @natestav and hate the market with me.
