I want to speak about resilience! I felt so much friction at the four week mark in doing this book, and usually four weeks is when people give up! Motivation drops off, you’re not as excited anymore, and that’s where you start to doubt yourself, get overwhelmed by the “bigness” of the task, especially because at four weeks it’s highly unlikely you’re seeing a return on your efforts yet! And that’s when discouragement can creep in and we give up! But one of the most powerful skills you can learn, is how to keep showing up, even when the environment isn’t ideal. Even when your mentality is starting to doubt, and you’re starting to struggle. It’s about having tools in place to be able to keep that forward momentum! I love being able to list 3 main things I want to achieve that day, regardless of how big my todo list is. Even if it might feel so small and insignificant, it’s a way to keep you grounded and focused on the current day and not let yourself spiral! For me my nonnegotiable tasks are Quiet time with God every morning Some sort of movement And picking one task for the day I can get done It helps so much when times are hard! Because there’s nothing worse than having a dream, getting started, and crashing out a few weeks later and then being in a forever cycle of “starting again”. So pick your nonnegotiable tasks and when life calls you to get gritty and resilient, hold on to those! And remember that your situation will change! Things don’t stay hard forever, but how you act when things are hard will form your character and integrity more than any other circumstances in life will! 💙💙💙 Full YouTube debrief of week 6 on my channel now!
