Limp Bizkit Legend and Co-Founder Sam Rivers Sadly Passed Away One Year Ago at Just 46 🕊️ Founding member of the Jacksonville band, Rivers helped carry Limp Bizkit from the clubs of Florida into the center of the late-1990s and early-2000s nu-metal explosion. His bass work became especially important on tracks such as “Re-Arranged,” showing that beneath the aggression and spectacle was a rhythm section capable of being surprisingly melodic. Fred Durst supplied the voice, Wes Borland brought the visual chaos, but underneath it all was Sam Rivers, giving Limp Bizkit the heavy, grooving low end that helped make their sound instantly recognizable. Some of the songs that defined his years with Limp Bizkit include: - “Break Stuff” (Significant Other) - “Nookie” (Significant Other) - “Re-Arranged” (Significant Other) - “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” (Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water) - “My Way” (Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water) - “Take a Look Around” (Mission: Impossible 2 / Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water) - “My Generation” (Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water) - “Behind Blue Eyes” (Results May Vary) - “Dad Vibes” (Still Sucks) Rivers temporarily stepped away from the band in 2015 while dealing with serious liver disease and later underwent a liver transplant. He eventually returned in 2018 and continued performing with Limp Bizkit until 2025. Sam Rivers passed away on October 18, 2025, at only 48 years old. One year later, his bandmates’ description of him as the heartbeat of Limp Bizkit feels especially fitting. Behind some of the loudest songs of an entire era was a bassist whose groove held everything together. 🕊️ Remembering Sam Rivers, 1977–2025 #samrivers #significantother #missionimpossible - @oniichanhq
