I’ve gotten 1 hit, and over 60% of applicants had a masters degree. I’m 23 and I want to do this job more than anything in the world but there is no clear path from entry level to having the title.

There is no shortage anywhere for labour in anything. There is a market for labour and it will respond to supply and demand. If the price/pay for that labour goes up, more supply will enter the market. if not it won’t. and management won’t do anything until those people retire AND those companies are forced to feel the pain etc. only then will those jobs be again filled if at all. same everywhere. there is no “transition plan”.
