This easy pepper steak is made with tender flank steak, bell peppers and onions tossed in a savory sauce and served over rice. The type of dinner my husband can eat every week. Pepper Steak steak * 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain * 1 tbsp soy sauce * ½ tbsp oyster sauce * ½ tbsp brown sugar * ½ tsp garlic powder * ½ tsp kosher salt * ½ tsp baking soda * 1 tbsp cornstarch * 1 tbsp oil vegetables * 1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces * 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces * 1 medium onion, cut into 1-inch pieces * 4 garlic cloves, minced * 1-inch piece fresh ginger, minced * 1 tbsp oil sauce * 1 cup chicken broth * 2 tbsp soy sauce * 2 tbsp oyster sauce * 1 tsp brown sugar * 1 tsp sesame oil * ½ tsp black pepper * 1 tsp cornstarch directions 1. add the sliced flank steak to a bowl with soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, kosher salt, baking soda and cornstarch. toss well and let marinate while you prep the vegetables and sauce. 2. whisk all of the sauce ingredients together and set aside. 3. heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. add the steak and cook until browned and nicely seared. remove and set aside. 4. add another tablespoon of oil to the skillet. add the garlic and ginger and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. add the onion and cook for 2 minutes, then add the bell peppers and cook for another 2–3 minutes. 5. add the steak back to the skillet. stir the sauce once more, pour it in and toss everything together. cook for 1–2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the steak and vegetables. Serve with a side of rice. #peppersteak #steak #EasyRecipe #EasyRecipei#weeknightdinnerr
