I’m beginning to have some serious concerns about my mother’s mental stability. This woman willingly gets into a giant porcelain bowl, turns on the rain, and just STANDS THERE. On purpose. Every. Single. Day. I’ve observed this behavior for quite some time now, and frankly, it’s getting worse. She even purchases special liquids to pour all over herself while participating in this bizarre ritual. And the most disturbing part? She seems to enjoy it. I’ve tried to make sense of the situation, but I simply cannot understand why anyone would voluntarily become soaking wet when they could just lick themselves like a civilized member of society. I’ve personally maintained an impeccable grooming routine for years, and not once have I required a bottle of something called “Coconut Vanilla Moisture Repair.” Whatever that is. And don’t even get me started on the singing. Dear God, the singing. The woman stands under running water performing entire concerts for an audience of plastic bottles. Sometimes I sit in the bathtub before she gets in just to remind her that someone in this household still has a functioning brain. But does she appreciate my concern? No. She takes pictures of me. Apparently, I’m the strange one. Anyway, I’ve decided to stop questioning her behavior. She’s clearly beyond help, and quite frankly, I have enough on my plate. I have a nap scheduled for 3:15, a bird to threaten through a window at 4:00, and a perfectly full food bowl to complain about at 5:30. I simply do not have time to raise this woman.
