As a mom, I’ll tell you, there have been times when I almost wish my kids hadn’t met some of the athletes they looked up to. Not because anyone owes them anything, but because sometimes those moments don’t go the way you hope, and it’s hard to watch your kids be disappointed. And listen, I get it. These athletes are people too. They have families, lives, bad days, and deserve their privacy just like the rest of us. But I also think sometimes they don’t realize just how much of an impact they can have, especially on kids who absolutely idolize them. Today, I had the privilege of literally running into Larry Fitzgerald. And when I tell you, CLASS ACT! ❤️ This man was so incredibly kind, genuine, and welcoming. The second I mentioned Diego and how much he had always looked up to him, he just got it. He took the time, and it was such a small thing that meant so much. And I guess that’s really my point. Sometimes it’s not about the autograph, the picture, or even the conversation. It’s about how you make someone feel. I know these guys get stopped all the time. I know it probably gets old. But man, when someone who has accomplished so much still chooses to be kind and give a little extra of themselves, it’s just so freaking cool. So shoutout to Larry Fitzgerald today. Not for being an incredible football player, because we already knew that, but for being an even better human. You probably have no idea how much those little moments mean, but from a mom who has watched her kid look up to athletes their entire lives, THANK YOU. ❤️🏈
