If the BBC becomes subscription based I doubt if we will get it sorted cheaply. I doubt if it would be less than £20 per month so rather more expensive than today.

I didn't realise for several years that one had to have a TV licence to watch ITV and channels 4 & 5 live, even though they had advertising. Rip off Britain yet again.☹️

The BBC is a sad story of a great organisation that became bloated and far too comfortable with the way it’s funded. It’s the same with the entire public sector who feel they don’t have to work hard or effectively to keep getting their remuneration. The whole model is broken.
