Deadly consequences should only be used for deadly threat. If the security officer saw a gun or saw that the man was a threat directly to someone else then firing shot was called for. Otherwise he should have tased him or call for reinforcements. A security officer does not not carry the same power a cop does. Security is in the wrong unless more details come out.
