I think there’s such a fall off after season 4 and it just gets worse and worse

I love it. watched it all 5 times but does anybody else find it a bit taboo to say you like it? Like I dont feel like die hard fans admit they are and just stay quiet. or is it just me?

if you only notice a fall at the very end you enjoy slop, and that's fine but it's true.

For me: Seasons 1-4 are peak TV and could rival any show Seasons 5-6 not as strong but still better than most shows Season 7- Good for spectacle but the writing is really suffering Season 8- A empty shell of a once great TV show

I think only season 8 was pretty bad, 6 was one of the best seasons, and 7 was decent

It wasn’t necessarily even bad story decisions that made it bad. It was the compressed episode count. Imagine if they tried to cram the content of the final 3 seasons of LOST into just 1 season? Or what if season 4 and 5 of Breaking Bad only had 10 episodes? Same issue. Game of Thrones should have been 10 seasons of 10 episodes

When the creators got given a Star Wars movie they rushed the show to move on to Star Wars and then because it was soo bad they lost the Star Wars movie. 😂

I completely agree and I consider the long night battle to be the true ending to the show.

When you’ve watched it a few times, you can tell when the show writers aren’t going from the books anymore, and it does get considerably worse. It feels a lot less authentic to the story.

Season 6 and 7 are two decent seasons of television that was destined to crash and burn because they WROTE THE SEASONS WITH NO PLAN FOR HOW TO END IT

The last three episodes feel like an epilogue to the actual shows ending at The Long Night and I think it works. Wraps the story up about as best as could be expected considering they signed up for 7 seasons to match 7 books. I think they did a great job. Best show I've ever seen or will ever see.

season 5-7, the show looses its uniqueness of being well thought out, with the worldbuilding no longer being watertight, but it's still enjoyable. Season 8, it goes to shit.
