Yikes on both! He is right! Boating isn’t exactly the same as driving. Some jurisdictions require separate boating licenses from drivers licenses for a reason. Funny enough, I did learn how to drive a boat before I drove a car!

To answer Boss's question: it has a lot to do with how much value our society places on money beyond just it's literal monetary value. People have come to believe that having money simply makes you better in every way. When it's usually the opposite.
