@suwaibaabdul_: I’ve been to Abuja on several occasions, but this was my first time visiting the National Mosque, and honestly, the pictures I’ve seen online don’t do justice to the architectural masterpiece I witnessed! 😍🕌 Wait, did you know the mosque was completed in 1984? Interesting, right? Built to stand the test of time, with its beautiful golden dome (I heard it’s made of pure gold ), four towering minarets, and breathtaking architecture, it’s truly one of Abuja’s most iconic landmarks. Beyond being a place of worship, it attracts visitors, both Muslims and Christians, who come to appreciate its history, architecture and cultural significance. Interestingly, it stands opposite the National Christian Centre. Two prominent religious landmarks facing each other in Nigeria’s capital. A beautiful reminder that we can have different beliefs and still appreciate one another. I missed the Friday prayer due to my schedule, but I made it in time for one of the regular daily prayers. Alhamdulillah! So, when next you visit Abuja, add the National Mosque to your bucket list.
