$670,000÷2.5=$268,000 per year of income in order not to be house poor.

Why are so many trying to get people to buy homes…. Interest rates are too high and prices are astronomical.

I just closed on 9/1 with 6.45% on a 670k home and put 10% down. My mortgage is $4750, that interest really makes a HUGE difference 😱

$5758 is the cheapest your payment will ever be. It will only continue to go up because taxes and insurance aren’t going down

I could qualify for that. My life would be awful. I pay $2,965 a month. $345,000 house at 6.375%. This is still expensive in my opinion. But I tried buying as reasonably as possible.

If you make $280,000 it comes out to $17,000 a month after tax. Couldn’t you just rent for 5 years save $100,000 a year and pay cash for a house?

This is crazy, because I pay $1500 a month on a 500k house. Today's interest rates are freaking insane. I'm sitting at a 1.79%.
