Am I the only one bothered by this? I feel like it just misses the whole point of that scene. Kit always felt underestimated and like she was living in her sister’s shadow. Her beating Dottie was symbolic of her growth and stepping out on her own. And Dottie losing wasn’t just about the game but about her letting go of her little sister and not trying to protect her anymore.

I feel like. Dottie foreshadows this when she tells her grandsons …. To the older listen. Let him play give him a chance. Tells the little one. Kick his ass. ( paraphrasing here ..) and that’s what made me come to the conclusion that Dottie drops the ball so kit can have the win and step out from behind her shadow.

Kit was literally the sister that was actually dedicated to the game. Dottie just happened to be play better. But Kit was the actual athlete…. I will die on this hill 😭😂
