It’s pretty clear once you go out of bounds at the ball is still out of bounds. It’s out of bounds, but if the ball is in bounds in your body is out of bounds, that’s where the ball ends up being and he was out of bounds with the ball. The ball was not in bounds.

I always thought that as long as they didn’t touch the out of bounds that the ball extends until they’re Out by ground contact

I guess I understand it for diving out of bounds cuz you could just dive forward outbound and get almost 5 extra yards if it was spotted where the ball landed

This is purely a guess, but I think the reasoning might be when you leave your feet you don’t have a part of body bound, so the ball dictates whether you’re bounds or not before you touch out of bounds if you still have your feet and your body still inbound so it doesn’t really matter where the ball is I’m not saying this is right but this is what I think

I think they need to rework touchdowns as well because it doesn’t make sense how you can hit the pylon on the end zone on the outbound side and they counted as a touchdown

when you jump to catch the ball on the sidelines and you're in the air you catch the ball out of bounds but your feet are still inbounds shouldn't that be considered out of bounds then too since none of your body is touching out of bounds??

Then what about a pass that goes out of bounds and a defender knocks it back into play? Wouldn’t the play clock be dead when a pass crosses the line instead of when it hit something?

What is the difference in getting it into the pylon? You can’t stretch it into the end zone outside of the pylon.
