The biggest change was that I stopped letting how my body LOOKED determine whether I thought my effort was worth it. 👀 I kept showing up when I couldn’t see a difference yet. When the weights felt heavy. When I only had 30 minutes. These clips are about 15 months apart. Here’s what I kept coming back to 👇🏼 1. Dumbbell workouts at home, 3–5 days a week. A plan I could follow without figuring out what to train every day. On busy weeks, three workouts counted. 2. Making my reps count. Controlled movement. Weights that made the last few reps challenging while keeping good form. Tracking my weights so I knew when I was getting stronger, even before I could SEE it. 3. Walking regularly. Usually stroller walks, park plays, working toward 10-12k steps most days. Movement that fit into life with my son 4. Eating to support my training. Protein, carbs AND fats. I aimed for 25-40g of protein at meals and kept foods I enjoyed. A large part of this time was spent eating at maintenance, rather than constantly trying to eat less 5. Making recovery part of the routine. Prioritizing sleep, taking rest days and letting a shorter workout be enough. I’m around 42 lbs down since July 2025, but that number doesn’t tell you about all the ordinary days behind these clips. You don’t have to copy every habit tomorrow. Start with three workouts you can realistically repeat. Add a walk when you can. Build a balanced meal. Give yourself something manageable to build on. My weekly split: Monday: Lower body Tuesday: Upper body Wednesday: Cardio + core Thursday: Shoulders + glutes Friday: Full body Training three days? Start with lower, upper and full body. This is the structure behind my Movement With Julie dumbbell-only weekly workouts, with 30- and 60-minute options so you can follow a plan that fits your life. Save this for the days you’re putting in the effort but can’t see it yet. Your progress deserves more time than a before-and-after clip can show 🫶🏼🥹 #workoutmotivation #postpartum #homeworkout #workoutroutine
