They took my mom while we were at school when I was 8 and my brother was 12. She tried coming back but she never made it, she would call us as she was making progress on her journey back to the states last time we talked to her she was somewhere by Matamoros MX she told us she’ll be back home in 2 days 😢 I’m 40 now and I remember that shit like it happened yesterday

“Just get your papers” like there’s a line at the DMV where you pick up an application and wait 30 days 😂. For many people there is literally NO straightforward pathway to legal status, and even family-based options can take years, cost thousands, and have eligibility requirements people simply don’t meet. You can believe immigration laws should be enforced without pretending the legal process is simple or accessible to everyone. And meanwhile, children who had absolutely ZERO say in their parents’ immigration status are the ones living with the consequences. That’s the part people conveniently ignore.

I'm in MoVal too, almost 40 years. I'm crying watching the videos. WTF is going on??? My tears turn to anger. I will never forget the people who supported this shit. This is temporary, we will make things better for everyone in the future. 💞

I am 38 and have a friend from high school who is undocumented bc her parents brought her here when she was 2. She has 4 kids here. Her parents are legal. She has 4 siblings she is the only one who is “illegal” Ice could take her any day. It’s devastating to think about. Imagine 4 kids, 4 siblings, parents, losing their mom, sister, daughter due to this.
