this and then I really wish I could remember who made this comment on another one of the Chris Valenti reaction s too and it was government is not a car which is what Valenti and ones like him one the car a to b no in between but government is supposed to be like a bus you get off on your stop and that's what you want to try and do is get as close to your stuff as you can but it's not going to exactly get you there like you still have to like walk to your destination you still have to put in some effort and that's why I really hate saying it I truly think that if this Blue Wave comes and some changes happen some things get a little bit better we will see an immediate massive right away again because a lot of people only care about themselves in this country and they will vote only for something that benefits them and does not hurt them they don't care who else it harms

way too many do not understand we have a 2 party system for federal elections 😒 all of those who also voted for Jill where's she? there's an active warrant for her missing her court appearance last i heard... why do people not understand that's why Bernie ran as a dem when he's a independent senator 🤔 I'm first gen American the amount of Americans who know very little about how their system is run that's by design

we are not even to the primary and its alread been instilled in us we have to vote for a moderate or more specifically Harris or Newsome. can we at least pretend we want a progressive until after the midturms. i would really, really like us to try and push toward a better futer and stop settling on "not as bad"

The funny thing is I've recently said of people like Valenti is that these tankies are arguing that us leftists should be willing to offer up women, black people, indigenous people, immigrants, and the LGBTQ community up as sacrificial lambs because Gaza. It's such an easy position to hold when, as white males, we are relatively insulated from the worst aspects of the MAGA movement. Trump 2.0, just like Trump 1.0 h, has had very little direct negative impact on my life outside of inflation. Still, I can't be a single issue voter, not even for Palestine. The right got Trump because of decades of single issue voting. single issue voting is short sighted and leaves you open to manipulation in my opinion. It's myopic and leads to poor decision making.
