as a mother to an adult addict, I totally understand everything you said. he's also undiagnosed ADHD. I see everything he could have been. he's brilliant, kind and caring for the most part but he has his angry and resentful moments too. he's tearing my world apart. I feel bad for his kids. their mom is also an addict. both are going to the clinic

You can see it in the eyes😭 It's terrifying. I believe it actually has become an entity all on it's own and can possess those with the weakest wills.😭😭😭😭😭

When we finally did an intervention with my dad, I would have believed in possession. The man that he was was not longer there. His eyes were empty. He was walking and talking but I could tell then man. The person, that he had been was no longer driving that body. It was his addiction.

We never hate the addict just the addiction. I've been so fortunate to have not had my own addictions only loved a few addicts deeply. Not everyone won their battle and that's the hard part.

I have to agree with you. Addiction is a horrible thing to deal with, even when you’re not the one struggling with it. Loving someone with an addiction can put you through hell, and it’s heartbreaking and exhausting to navigate.

This brought me to tears. I’m 15 years sober and addiction IS a demon. The worst of them all. You should not tolerate people in active addiction. No one should. We WILL try to take everything from you.

in Arabic they say that the word for alcohol is the same for spirit. the basic concept is that when you drink you create an opening for a possession. since we are both language lovers what do u think?
