@metrodetroitnews: Inkster police visited the home of two children Friday, bringing gifts, toys and supplies after the siblings were found safe in Ohio following an alleged kidnapping by their father. The children, ages 3 and 6, were taken after their father allegedly restrained their mother with duct tape at an Inkster home because she planned to end their relationship. Their mother was later found safe. One of the children used their father’s phone to call for help after he reportedly shot-himself inside a car in an Ohio cornfield. The children did not know where they were, but eventually walked out of the field while on the phone with a Detroit police officer. Ohio police arrived to help them, and both children were safe. Their father was found dead in the car.
