There are always people in the weather observatory year round. And people hike mt Washington all through the winter.

Hiked Mt. Washington a few years ago. After summiting, tried to quickly go back down to beat a storm and wound up getting stuck in it. Had to go back up for shelter. Would have sucked if that wasn’t an option.
