It took me a month to finish Alchemised. With that being said, it is my FAVORITE book and Kaine Ferron is my favorite MMC of all time. This book put my in a major reading slump and I couldn’t pick anything up until like 3 months later. I just kept relistening to the audiobook. It’s been almost a year and I still think about this book all the time.

It’s def not you just push through, let it confuse you lol it’ll all click in later. I got into it really late and now needing a re-read bc of it. I’m cackling at how it hasn’t hit about the romantic duo bc I was the SAME! Omg girl it gets good. Don’t overwhelm yourself with reading it if you absolutely can’t. I had to listen to about 80% of the audio bc it was rough and then I just stuck w it. Btw this is coming from someone who isn’t a fantasy reader at all 😭

1. You have to stop immediately reading any conversation about the book because it’s just gonna ruin it. You have to go into it blind 2. get the audiobook and listen to it while you’re cleaning or doing something mindless that you don’t mind having background noise to 3. It is a hard book to get into it, but I’m begging you to stick it out because it is one of my favorite books now. Good luck! 😆

Please please please don’t stop.. I feel like the problem I see is ppl are baffled or disgusted with part 1 and take that energy and run with it after dnf. I promisee it’s so worth it. Just keep an open mind-ish.

It’s worth it! Reach part 2 and you’ll get it. I promise u. I immediately re-read and listened to the audiobook and then the immersive read. And then went on to getting in a slump. Just keep in mind you’re meant to be confused just as Helena was.

Reading Alchemised now, at like 80%. Tho the first chapters went so slowly toooooo, it was really confusing, but it geeets better, it’s sooooo goooooooood and now I don’t want to finish it 😭

I finished it this week, my thoughts at the beginning were exactly that! Like how the fuck is this coming around and be explained!! Trust me it does, it does come around and I’m still trying to get over this book.

the 1st part took me almost or more than 3 months. it was painstakingly agonising.. but girl... when I reach a certain point in the 2nd part, I finished the whole book in 2 weeks. so hang in there. ❤️

imo it is not a happy love story, it is tragic and painful but also has such beautiful moments. i also had a lot of trouble getting through part 1 but this ended up being a 4.5 star for me.

I think I only liked it bc in my head I still envisioned them as their Harry Potter counterparts. The structure of the book is also its downfall. If I ever reread, I would do it in chronological order (part 2,1, then 3)

You need to get through. I read this before I knew anything about the Harry Potter version. It is the best book I have ever read. I think about it regularly and it should be studied.
