This is so true. Sometimes we spend years believing that we've reached our limits, when in reality we've simply become accustomed to the boundaries of the world around us.
We are capable of so much more than we imagine. But growth requires courage: the courage to leave behind what feels familiar, to question what we've been taught is possible, and to believe in dreams that others may consider unrealistic.
And perhaps the saddest thing in life isn't failing to achieve our dreams. It's never discovering what we could have become.
This made me think of Mike Harris in Luc Arden's LIBERTALIA — THE FIRST DIGITAL NATION: THE SALVATION. An ordinary man who refused to accept that the world he inherited was the only world humanity could ever create.
Sometimes, to discover how far we can grow, we must first find the courage to step beyond the world we've always known.
