@xooliviamae: I never thought I would have to wear braces in my 30s, but here we are. I tried invisalign for 6 months in 2019 & I abruptly just stopped using them because it was too much work & maintenance for me at the time. After I stopped invisalign I noticed my teeth were shifting & looked worse than before I started Invisalign so I made the decision to try again. I spoke with my dentist & originally wanted to go the cosmetic route because it would have been much quicker than braces, ultimately he talked me out of it & we agreed Orthodonic treatment was my best option. I had 3different treatment options, Invisalign, traditional braces, or Damon braces. I weighed out the pros & cons of all 3 & decided to go with Damon. My treatment plan was made for one year which was the shorter treatment out of the 3. No I did not want to walk around with metal in my mouth for a full year so I orginally chose the Damon clear brackets but during the course of my visits we ended up switching to the metal brackets. 1 year sounded awful but to be honest time has flown by so quickly it doesn’t even seem I have had them on that long.
