@lamag: White House update: Katie Zacharia is out as press secretary after just five days on the job. The New York Times reports she was fired; a White House official says she’s ‘transitioning out.’ President Trump told reporters he’d encouraged her to reconsider the job, saying it was tougher than she expected. Her debut briefing lasted about 14 minutes, and she faced questions about her legal background after acknowledging she never passed the California bar exam. So, five days in—and already a record-short run for a White House press secretary.
