I can see her not wanting legal marriage because some of her character traits lend to unconventionality and she’s often depicted as free spirited (like a stray cat that enjoys roaming) but I can also see her wanting it because she also has character traits that lend to wanting security and a sense of home (stray cat adopted into loving home) so I honestly think it works either way. But regardless of which direction you go I think there needs to be a sense of healing and comfort. Like she either gets married to Bruce, finds safety, security, and commitment in him and a sense of closure and healing that way OR she leaves Bruce but comes back, they agree to be partners without the legal strings and she finds comfort and security in being with someone who will love her and commit to her regardless of legal circumstance
