This happened to my great grandma durin WWII but Nazi actually ASKED for every kid between X and Y age. She was 8 (too young) but her parents show her instead of her older sister hoping they will not take her If they see she is so young but they didn’t care 😬 She came back by her own (she is a goat) few years later. But yeah even Nazi asked and not just stole them (off they probably did it anyway but at least tried)
