So that is either just a fan film thing or maybe it’s legit to get interest going. The tv series that they wanted to do after Ends was cancelled. So Malek really wants to do something big for the 50th and does want to make it a theatrical release. However, the most likely scenario is a legacy sequel to 4. Many fans want that and he’s heard that and it’s what he’s mostly likely leaning towards. There’s also the possibility that if it’s not a legacy sequel to 4 than it’s a sequel that takes place after the original but no Laurie or anything like that because it might be closer to the young adult novels released in the 1990’s where Michael escaped after the original (implied to have successfully killed Laurie) and then returns at random to Haddonfield and commits massacres
