Siblings there is a difference between being attractive and being sexually provocative. There is a difference between someone who possesses beauty and someone who intentionally weaponizes it to provoke lust. And please don’t misunderstand me. I absolutely believe you should be physically attracted to the person you marry. 😂 I cannot imagine looking at my future husband and not being able to say, “amen GLORY TO GOD!”🤧 But attraction and lust are NOT synonymous. Some people don’t just look at you…they visually undress you. Their eyes communicate intentions their mouths haven’t even articulated yet. And some of you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. There are men whose entire approach is saturated with sexual undertones, and women whose body language communicates an invitation before a single word is even exchanged. Learn to distinguish between someone who appreciates your beauty and someone who is already imagining access to your body. You cannot determine someone’s character simply because they’re attractive, confident, or well dressed. BUT you CAN pay attention to their conduct, conversations, boundaries, and the intentions they consistently reveal. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them. Know what you want so intimately that you develop the discipline to dismiss what contradicts it. Because not every attractive person is an appropriate person for your future. And sometimes, the greatest demonstration of self control is walking away from someone you’re genuinely attracted to because you recognize that their character cannot sustain the future you’re building.
