Today was a red day. And if I’m being completely transparent… I knew I shouldn’t have been trading. I wasn’t in the right headspace, and I knew it before I even started. I could feel myself trying to force trades. I could feel the FOMO creeping in after finally getting payouts and wanting to keep that momentum going. And I traded anyway. I’ve heard traders far more experienced than me talk about this exact stage. You get the payout. You get excited. Confidence rises. And suddenly there’s this subtle pressure to keep producing. Today, I fell into it. Earlier, I was PISSED at myself. Then I had to remind myself: This is part of learning too. The win today wasn’t turning the red day green. The win was recognizing what was happening and STOPPING. I locked the accounts. I’m not trying to recover the losses today. I’m not taking “one more trade.” I’m not turning one red day into unnecessary damage because my ego wants to end the day differently. Instead, I’m going to regulate my nervous system, take care of myself, give myself some grace and come back tomorrow. And tomorrow, if I’m not in the right headspace? I don’t trade. That’s part of becoming a better trader too. Not learning how to never make another mistake. Learning how to stop one mistake from becoming five. Sharing the green days, the payouts AND these days because all of it is part of the process. Save this one for the next red day when your brain tells you the answer is to trade your way out of it. 🫶 #melissadaytrades #tradingpsychology #womenwhotrade #futurestrading #daytradingjourney
