My mother, who is Croatian always made this. A special linen table cloth was designated the “strudel “ tablecloth and was only used when making strudel. Apple, cheese, with lemon zest and sometimes raisins. Very similar.

Rosinen sind ein Muss🤭 Die Füllung ist etwas zu viel und da gehören etw mehr Brösel rein und Zimt! Und die Äpfel blättriger schneiden - nur ein kl Tipp. War noch dabei als vor fast 50 Jahren Oma und Uroma den Teig über den Tisch gezogen haben. Du hättest ihn der Länge nach einrollen „müssen“ (bzw können). Weniger Lagen Teig, etw weniger Füllung.
