I hate irondad because it ignores how important aunt May is to Peter as a character especially in the MCU where Ben wasn’t really there (supposedly). I was legit pissed that she wasn’t as present in the movies as she should’ve been, aunt May is always characterized as very protective and DOES NOT PLAY about the kid she views as a son. She would’ve HATED Tony for putting her boy in danger. I like Tony Stark as a *mentor* but as a father figure for Peter it makes me irrationally mad. Ben and May Parker are both essential to how Peter is as a person *especially* May, she’s his guardian, aunt, and maternal figure that taught him that he should be respectful and kind to everyone. Tony Stark is a billionaire that used Peter to win in civil war and while he *does* care, giving him any semblance of credit for being a parental figure pisses me off 😭

something I noticed in fanfics is that tony acts like a predator. he's written like that unintentionally by the author who is trying to make tony take immediate liking to Peter and trying to make peter his personal assistant without even seeing his potential. which is very creepy btw. and even the way peter is acting in these ffs is how children get groomed irl (but it makes sense for peter to act like that because he's blinded by the fact it's Ironman and also he wouldn't see the signs because he did get groomed by mysteryo after tony's death) but still. I love when Tony's weird actions gets called out, wether tony notices or not

I agree with you. i hate tony in the civil war for using peter as a tool and i hate his behavior toward harly in iron man3.but you know we can not deny that tony had a very big character development in end game . he actually was sorry for what he did . and he felt thw guilt for 5 years and he saw peter the reason to help avengers build time travel. and I'm sure if they had much more time thier relationship would be better

Dude I'd kill for a fic that has Peter really starstruck with Tony at first but as the fic progresses Peter seeing more the homeless population, criminals who are only criminals because they need food, thieves who are only thieves because they cant afford medicine, addicts who are only addicts because its the only way they can cope with the trauma and grief life has given them - he finds himself sort of disgusted with the luxury that Tony Stark has. I think it would be super interesting if it culminate at a auction or something that Tony took Peter to and he sees everyone there dropping millions and Peter is just so revolted by it all
