An interesting topic you’ve raised. Part of me believes, especially as I get older, that if someone appears to align themselves with so many different people, you should be wary of them. On the other hand, I also recognise that if you’re constantly looking for reflections of yourself in others, you’re inevitably setting yourself up for disappointment. So maybe loneliness is a bit of a blessing here

Unsolicited advice here but It’s important to push yourself to find connection when you can feel good too though (even if it is going to a dungeons and dragons meet up or church meet up) because isolation can turn you mad, nooo mfn joke. No matter how much you want or feel comfortable alone, we are hard wired to be social and part of your brain will dissolve into fog that will be hard to clear if you ever do decide to be around people again. You won’t recognise the fog but others will and the social skills needed to be convincing and charismatic to do fulfil plans you have said you want to do with atrophy into a state that will be hard to build up. Take my word for it! Don’t ask me how I know! In our society, we downplay the benefit of even very superficial relationships because it’s the goal to be “real” but it’s important to not internalise every society message. Keep the social lubricant going that is a fortnightly nonsense meet up.

I respect it brother but nah, actively seek community, seek strong Christian community, people who will encourage & edify you & speak like into you, iron sharpens iron, being in your room writing in a journal 24/7 ain’t good for no one, the enemy likes us being in isolation & you can say God will bless me with the right people, yeah but you still need to take action right, this ‘ I’m focused lonely’ narrative ain’t it brother ✝️

It’s like being hidden in obscurity with God. Reminds me of the bible verse about hiding under his wing. It’s such an intentional loneliness. You’re being moulded, formed, broken down and built up again. And through God all things are made perfect! I know where I’m trying to go and it’s a distance most are unwilling to cover. And time and time again I’ve paused on my path trying to bring people along… I had to stop and realise where I’m headed I’m headed there alone. Perhaps my village will be there when I arrive.. Just produced a cabaret show in the west end and on the front end it looks inspirational, glamorous and now so many folks in the industry wants to be casted in my show, wanna work with me, wanna go where I’m going but no one has any clue what the last year has been for me. Losing my mind and working triple time building the vision God gave me. Even fighting with family and friends. It’s so personal and spiritual. Internet aunty proud that you understand this Now. It’s gonna help you alot in life and You’re gonna go far darling. 🫶🏾
