Poem of the Day . Today, I was awoken by the sun's warmth upon my cheek. I made my way outside & took my first deep breath of the day. . I can feel the hearbeat of the wind as it catches the curl of my ear. It swirls all around me, revealing its comfortable embrace. It is as if Mother Nature's trying to share her secret with me. A smile a mile wide appeared as I whispered back, "Thank you. It'll not soon be forgotten." . I took my second deep breath. It seemed as if time was just standing still. I looked in the distance & noticed the trees as they swayed . It's almost as if they weren't even rooted this day. As if inviting me to come over to dance & play with them. I said to myself, "This must be some kind of magic." I took just a moment to make sure I wasn't dreaming. The timing must be perfect for this to even be happening. I must be the luckiest person to even have a part in this dance. I wonder to myself, has anyone else ever seen what I'm seeing? . I took my third deep breath, everything seems so surreal. A second later, I remember this happens every day of the year. How had I missed such beauty, I wonder. Why hadn't I ever taken a moment to just see. To slow down & appreciate what is actually real, right in front of me. . What a morning it has been so far, I feel so alive. I'm only 3 deep breaths into this amazing day. My mind now imagines this world that I'd never of seen. If I hadn't taken this morning to see what beauty surrounds me ..... . . Art2much,
