@sfretailnews: A $48 million purchase by Louis Vuitton parent company LVMH has closed as of Wednesday for 220 Post street in Union Square. The SFChronicle reports the 38,400 sqft building has remained empty since Saks mens departed in 2016 but may now come under new use under the luxury conglomerate. With no details announced by Cushman and Wakefield nor LVMH directly, the future for the space is unclear. LVMH is known for full building flagships which typically include restaurants. My thought is- they move Louis Vuitton over to this building make a big splashy flagship. Loro Piana moves onto Post somewhere and Bloomingdale’s moves into the old I.Magnin building we know Macy’s is looking to utilize that space somehow and right now all the upper floors are empty
