An unmarked queen like this one is a real challenge to find, even for experienced beekeepers. That elongated abdomen is full of developing eggs — a strong queen can lay up to 2,000 in a single day. Look closely at the comb beneath her and you may also see tiny curved larvae in the cells, proof she has already been busy.
