I actually miss those days. Even though attendants pumped your gas my dad ALWAYS got out pretending to stretch his legs watching to make sure he didn't get ripped off. [Tears of joy]

When my wife and I had been dating long enough to get serious, I got our first set of dishes complete with serving pieces from the neighborhood Gulf station. Buy eight gallons or more and get a place setting for,I think, ninety-nine cents. We dated for four years and have been married for almost 58 years. We still have the serving platter from that set. And gas was $0.179 per gallon for leaded regular. During the occasional gas wars, regular got down to $0.129 cents per gallon. Not kidding. A gas tank couldn’t hold five dollars worth of gas. [Big LOL][Big LOL]
