I was about this age when I tried to smother my baby sister. I remember being so tired and my mother yelling and me to shut her up from upstairs. I carried that guilt for so long into adulthood. I still think I carry it.

My mom was an addict who I brought to my house as an adult. I was married 10 years we had 3 kids. She then slept with my husband. I remember her passing out all the time and I just thought she was sick until she just used right in front of me. She makes me sick. Still using.

I was five years old when I got bacc from playing with the kids and the neighborhood and I walked through the front door and seen my mom leaning against the fridge with my sister in her hand then she said something to me and started to fall over on the other side she was leaning on and I made 10 feet feel like a step and grabbed my baby sister and picced up my mother right then and there when I seen she put my sister in harms way I freaked out and cussed her out and she was passed out I’ll never forget that moment in my life when I realized there was no hope for her

My mom is still out of my life. At first she left us. She tried convincing us she was better recently but I found out she get arrested a couple months ago for possession of substances (m3th specifically). My dad is still an addict but he finally went to rehab and has been clean for some small time now. I’m so glad to have him in my life and so incredibly proud of his progress 🤍
