17 years in orthodontics. Worked at my office for 11 years 9 years as the practice director. Unemployed since August. They don’t want to pay and or want a degree. I started as an assistant and worked my ass off to get to the Practice Director role and now I feel like I have to start over. I feel like GOD wants me to do something else I just don’t know what. Praying we all figure it out. 🙏🏽

The job market is tough for most industries 😭. We’re all suffering so it doesn’t even make sense to switch careers. Many people feel stuck because of this. It’s hell!

Babe it’s healthcare not a club lol, and if you’re looking at a big company the hiring process is that.. a process because they have to go through so many steps. My process was almost 6 months, took nearly 10 years to get this job I’ve wanted and the reason I wanted to be in healthcare!

i’m wondering what your reasoning is when you explain why you’re going back to being an M.A. maybe to them it sounds like you’re “settling” for the position & you’re gonna leave as soon as you can. ? not sure if it makes sense but tbh as a MA also for 10yrs, it seems like it’s best to stay where i’m at 🫠 sounds rough & it sounds like everyone is too picky!

it is hard! its literally like a game and they play the game to choose who wins the position! and as a MA, why are some places having a group interview without mentioning it? I'm thankful for my new job now but it was a struggle going through so many interviews to be disappointed, so I understand
