Fun fact: There is actually three different ways to finger Bb. 1. With your thumb on the b natural key and pressing down your right pointer finger. 2. Using the Bb key 3. there is a mechanism on by your pointer finger that closes the same hole as the previous methods!

the top thumb key is ONLY for the Bb fingering that's what the key is called Bb key or what i got thought, the rest is the bottom thumb key..

i wouldnt use bb short constantly, when you start doing different notes like f# the note doesnt produce so its better if you teach the long bb rather than using bb thumb key
