On my way to see my mother who had been hospitalized 3 weeks earlier, I prayed, “I can’t make the decision to remove life support. If she’s going to die, then YOU do it.”. When I arrived she was actively dying. Her ET tube was clogged (we didn’t know) and she was not able to breathe. She was conscious and I was by her side telling her to Go to dad. Go to Jesus”. Then she went unconscious and they tried to resuscitate her, but she had been without O2 for at least 10 minutes. I told them to stop because I knew she would not come back herself, but would be mentally impaired at best. I live with the guilt but also the confidence

I feel the same grief of feeling guilty because I also prayed for my baby to be born with no pain, if that ment he would be born still.......and a feeling of peace came over me and he was still born.
