It’s not about generations it’s about balance. Untucked is two halves. Tucked is 1/3-2/3 which is visually better. They don’t understand because they haven’t found found style yet, they still working with trend only. They’ll get there.

they could have been right if it was cropped shorter, but at that length you do have to tuck it (I’m on the cusp between millennial and gen z, so keep that in mind with my advice)

Uh tucked. It accentuates your waist. It looks more put together. I’m 35. If it was a shorter shirt untucked but it’s too long for untucked.

The only way it could work untucked is with a really groovy vintage metal hip belt, a small, short chunky metal necklace, some bangel bracelets, and chunky rings. Accessorizing is sooo key!

The rule is: short over long OR long over short. Untucked is long over long which cuts the body into halves which is ultimately unflattering. Instead you want to aim for thirds by tucking in.

When i was in high school, my parents tucked in their shirts and I made fun of them; it wasnt cool. Then 15 years later we went back to tucked, and now i guess we are back at untucked lol
