Dammn- these comments really feel like they don’t understand the nuance of people. They are forever changing, sometimes you fall out of love but that doesn’t mean you can’t care tor someone. Marriage is only as important as you would like to make it, and this is supposed to show- that…even though a marriage ended, doesn’t mean a connection needs to end.

People saying “you work it out” obviously haven’t been in a house on the cusp of divorce. Sometimes, it really is like that old family dog you LOVE who just turned 11 with a list of medical issues. You can try and try and try to keep that poor dog alive, comfortable etc. but the truth is that poor thing is suffering, and also causing everything around it to feel suffering. Obviously you do work things out as a couple, but these people saying “work it out” just haven’t actually been around a dying marriage. Its not always loud, sometimes its just how it is.
