@abc7chicago: Motorists in Midland, Texas, were forced to abandon their vehicles after a deluge made roads impassable on Thursday. ⠀ Calvin Ford captured this footage showing multiple individuals wading through waist-high floodwater, with cars abandoned in the street. ⠀ “The water rose in a matter of minutes,” Ford told Storyful. “Cars and trucks were flooding out one after another. One car in particular had a woman and a child that needed rescue. A local pedestrian rescued her and the child, and shortly after, the car floated about 20 feet until making contact with another vehicle.” ⠀ “It was scary,” the source said. ⠀ The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the region, and roads were closed. #news #texas #weather #severeweather #flood #flooding
