@taina__xoxo: Where art, nature & tradition meet. 🌼 The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) is celebrating Día de los Muertos with a beautiful exhibit honoring the Mexican tradition of remembering and celebrating loved ones who have passed away. Rooted in love, remembrance, and connection, this holiday is a time when families honor their ancestors and welcome their spirits home. Throughout the exhibit, visitors can explore traditional elements of Día de los Muertos, including vibrant marigolds, ofrendas (altars), colorful alebrijes, and La Catrina. On select dates, NYBG also offers live performances and hands-on art activities, including creating papel picado and silk flowers. Whether you celebrate Día de los Muertos or are interested in learning more, this is a beautiful opportunity to explore Mexican culture, history, and the traditions that keep the memories of loved ones alive. 🧡 Día de los Muertos is traditionally observed on November 1st-2nd, and NYBG will be concluding the exhibit with a parade on November 1st to celebrate! 🇲🇽✨ @New York Botanical Garden #ThingsToDoInNYC #BronxNY #CulturalExperiences
