Everybody here is a fucking loser. You understand. The security guard is not a police. They are supposed to observe and reports if they are attacked. They have the permission to use Little force. The items are insured by banks. You can’t have a business without insurance for your items, so he could’ve taken down the information associated the cops. Take over there’s cameras there’s flock. There’s everything he wouldn’t have gotten the way. There is sufficient tools in place to make sure that petty robbery like this are taken care of swiftly and effectively by PD, he is not PD. He does not have the right to use fire arm. In that manner he was not in any danger. He does not have the right to take a life. Are you fucking stupid?

Yall not realizing that they never said the kid had a gun meaning the security guard could’ve used a non-lethal way of stopping him but instead of that he shot him. theft and armed robbery are two different things that should require two different kinds of force I think the security guard should definitely get arrested the kid did wrong but didn’t need to die

As a Level 4 personal protection officer, I also hold a commission Level 3 security license just like the suspect (security guard). I have also worked the location, but I work at the bar area. Under Texas State law as a security guard you cannot shoot someone unless they are causing immediate threat of life meaning shooting at someone or beating someone to death with an object. Because someone is stealing, does not mean you can shoot them. Best case scenario is to pepper spray or tease the individual and detain him. That shooting was a bad shoot, especially if all he did was a smash and grab.

@ẼlCãspér👻: As an armed security officer you don’t ever shoot over property. You observe and report it, simple. If a subject is robbing a person you are to act at the level of the force the individual is at. Use of force is only if a persons life is at risk and only at a contracted site that pays the company to have security there while on the clock. Always remember Property is replaceable but not a person’s life. The officer should have notified PPD instead of discharging his firearm unless people’s life’s were in danger in that moment.
