@hitchlife: YOU WORK 12 HOURS A DAY OFFSHORE, SO WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO FOR FUN? NUMBER ONE IS HARD TO BEAT! 🌊🔥 Everyone thinks offshore life is just work, eat, sleep, and repeat. But after a long 12-hour shift, there are still ways to unwind. Here are my top five favorite ways to spend free time on an offshore rig! NUMBER 5: THE GYM. 💪 Some platforms have weights, treadmills, and workout equipment. After being on your feet all day, a quick workout can help you clear your head. And trust me, somebody is always trying to prove they’re the strongest person onboard! NUMBER 4: THE RECREATION ROOM. 🎮 Depending on the rig, you might find pool tables, table tennis, cards, or even gaming consoles. It’s where friendly competition can turn into a serious battle in seconds! NUMBER 3: MOVIE NIGHT. 🍿 Imagine finishing your shift, grabbing some snacks, and watching a movie with the crew. If there’s a big football match on, the room can get louder than a stadium! NUMBER 2: THE GALLEY. 🍽️ After 12 hours of work, food hits differently! The catering team keeps everyone fed, and there’s always a debate about which meal is the best. For some workers, this is the highlight of the day. NUMBER 1: WATCHING THE SUNSET OVER THE OCEAN. 🌅 No traffic, no city noise, just open water stretching into the distance. When the sky changes color and the stars come out, you remember just how different life offshore really is. And if the connection allows, getting a quick video call with family makes it even better. Of course, facilities vary from rig to rig, and being away from home for weeks can still be tough. But depending on your contract, accommodation and meals are often provided while you’re onboard. Now I want to know: which one would you choose first — 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1? Drop your number in the comments!
