Ok… when I was a kid my neighbors had horses and she had a wooden collar looking thing the length of her neck and my neighbor said it was cribbing… am I remembering correctly??

My cribber… developed cribbing at 4 months he’s been a little better, doesn’t do it outside at all.. thankfully I caught him early before a lot of damage mainly only cribs before waiting and after dinner waiting to go outside

Cribbing happens when horse is stress, bored, Gastrointestinal Irritation, Dietary Factors and Genetics and Weaning. Just ruling out why why a horse will do is hard and yes cribbing collars sometimes work, have tried the cribbing muzzle? Keep him busy, have a big horse ball, is he stalled a lot? If so can be the problem. I’m sure you have done things to help him

horses are bored , they learned from others . yet i wonder if they have problems in their mouth , also I dont understand, breathing pipe and mouth stomach are 2 different things in the horse world . they dont get air into their stomachs .
