@dr.health317: 🤰 6 TYPES OF C-SECTION SCARS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT! 🩺 Did you know that C-section incisions can differ in shape and location? Here are six types you may come across. 👇 🔹 1. Low Transverse Incision – A horizontal cut made across the lower abdomen. This is the most common type of skin incision for a C-section. 🔹 2. Low Vertical Incision – A vertical cut made in the lower part of the abdomen, running from top to bottom. 🔹 3. Classical Incision – A vertical incision made in the upper part of the uterus. Remember, this refers to the uterine incision, not necessarily the scar visible on the skin. 🔹 4. High Transverse Incision – A horizontal incision made higher than the usual lower-abdominal or lower-uterine incision. The exact meaning depends on whether the skin or uterus is being discussed. 🔹 5. T-Shaped Incision – An incision in the uterus shaped like the letter “T.” It may be necessary in certain surgical situations. 🔹 6. J-Shaped Incision – An incision in the uterus shaped like the letter “J,” sometimes used when specific circumstances arise during surgery. ⚠️ IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER! Not all C-section incisions are the same. The scar on your abdominal skin may look different from the incision made in your uterus. Some uterine incisions can also affect the risks and recommendations for future pregnancies and deliveries. ❤️ Knowledge is power!
